AS AN AMVET MEMBER YOU ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO HAVE YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD WITH YOU WHEN ENTERING THE CLUB.PLEASE BE ADVISED, YOU MAY BE ASKED AT ANYTIME BY ANY OFFICER TO SHOW YOUR CURRENT MEMBERSHIP CARD.PLEASE ALSO BE ADVISED THAT YOU MUST SHOW PROOF OF MEMBERSHIP TO WIN ANY MONEY IN THE CLUB!!

 ATENTION REGULAR MEMBERS 

 
Our membership year for 2015 begins on September 1, 2015. So what does this mean? It means you will need a NEW KEY CARD to enter the Post BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 8th, 2014!! ALL REGULAR LIFE, AUXILIARY LIFE, & SONS LIFE MEMBERS may get their new key card now at the canteen. YOU MUST SHOW LIFE MEMBERSHIP CARD AT TIME YOU ARE GETTING KEY CARD, NO EXEMPTIONS!!

Any Regular Member who has paid their d
ues for 2015 may get their new key card on Fridays & Saturdays from 4-8 PM. YOU MUST SHOW RECEIPT FOR DUES & ALSO HAVE YOUR 2014 MEMBERSHIP CARD SO WE MAY PUT THE 2015 STICKER ON IT. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS SEE ME, ERIC SCHERER, THIS WILL CONTINUE EVERY WEEKEND THROUGH SEPTEMBER. National didn't make this easy for larger Posts such as ours.

The Ladies Auxiliary will be accepting membership renewals at this time and will issue new key cards when you renew. Nina Stein will be handling this for the Ladies.

Son's will need to contact Larry Riedy or Jeff Mettert. As it looks right now you will have to ring the buzzer to gain assess to the Post.

ALL KEY CARDS ARE $1.00, as this helps cover the cost of the key card purchase.

WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE, BUT THIS SEEMS TO BE THE BEST WAY TO HANDLE THIS. ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CALL MYSELF, ERIC SCHERER @ 419-366-3856.

We also ask for your co-operation at his time as Holly, who handles the Post Membership has suffered a broken heel and will be having surgery and will need some time to recover.

*****UPCOMING POST EVENTS*****

Join us on Saturday, September 20th @ 4:00 pm for Our 1ST ANNUAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW.  Flyers will be posted at the Post. Entertainment @ 8:00 pm by Eddie & The Edsels.

We will be holding our Kid's Halloween Party on Saturday, October 25th @ Noon.  There will be a sign up sheet located at the drawing table.

Get Dressed Up and Join us on Friday, October 31st, 2014 for our Adult Halloween Party at 7:00 pm.  We will have Raffles, Games, and Prizes!!!!

 

*****UPCOMING AUXILIARY EVENTS & NEWS*****

 

The Auxiliary Bake Sale will be held on September 5th, 2014 & October 3rd, 2014, donations are needed and can be dropped off at the Post. 

 

Attention AMVETS Auxiliary Members:  With the increase in Dues at the National and State Level, as of January 1st, 2014, Auxiliary dues will be $35.00 per year or $260.00 for a Life Membership. 

 

Auxiliary Annual Holiday Craft Show will be Sunday, November 2nd, 2014 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Admission is $1.00, which includes a door prize ticket.  Bake Sale, 50/50's, Door Prizes, Food & Beverages Available.  Public Welcome.  Please look for Postings for more details.

 

*****UPCOMING SON'S EVENTS & NEWS*****

 

Attention Son's - Membership will open again on September 1st, 2014.  Dues are only $35.00 per year or you can get a Life Membership for $300.00

 

Son's would like everyone to know that Sundays are for NASCAR here at the AMVETS.  Come in and enjoy the race on one of our Big Screen TV's.  Free hot dogs and chips are available during the Race.

 

Son's will be hosting an Octoberfest Fundraiser on October 19th.  It will run from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and will be Open to the Public.  They will be having Food, Raffles and Entertainment by the Ed Kilmczak Family Band. 

 

Son's will be hosting a Memorial Fundraiser for Christopher G. Perrin featuring Franketti's Original Spaghetti & Meatball Dinner on Sunday, November 9th from Noon to 7:00 pm.  There will be Raffles and Entertainment. Drive Thru and Carry Out Available.  Cost is $7.00 Per Person and it is Open to the Public.
